đ WELCOME
Good evening, family.
Welcome to the final week of our âBut GodâŠâ series.
Weâve been talking about the moments where life shouldâve gone one way⊠but God intervened.
And today, I want to speak to the people who feel trapped.
To the ones who feel overwhelmed.
To the ones who feel like the enemy has them surrounded.
Youâve been faithful⊠and yet the pressure keeps closing in.
Youâve been praying⊠but the problem keeps circling.
Hereâs the word of the Lord for you this morning:
âYou may be surrounded⊠but God has surrounded whatâs surrounding you.â
Letâs pray.
đ OPENING PRAYER
đ OPENING PRAYER
Father, we thank You for every moment in this series where Youâve shown up.
Now, we ask You to open our eyes.
Help us see beyond whatâs in front of us.
Remind us that You are greater than every enemy, stronger than every pressure, and present in every battle.
In Jesusâ name, amen.
đ INTRODUCTION
đ INTRODUCTION
Have you ever had a week where you felt like everything was closing in on you?
The bills stack up.
The stress at work builds.
The spiritual warfare increases.
The depression deepens.
The doctor gives news you werenât ready for.
People walk away, and now⊠itâs just you.
You look around, and everything says, âYouâre surrounded.â
Thatâs where we find the people of God in 2 Kings 6.
đ„ PART 1: SURROUNDED IN THE NATURAL
đ„ PART 1: SURROUNDED IN THE NATURAL
2 Kings 6:14â15 (NTV)
âSo one night the king of Aram sent a great army with many chariots and horses to surround the city.
When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere.
âOh, sir, what will we do now?â the young man cried to Elisha.â
Letâs pause.
Elisha is a prophet â and the Arameans are trying to kill him because heâs been revealing their battle plans to Israel.
So they send an army⊠not to fight a country⊠but to capture one man.
Why?
Because one person who hears from God is a threat to darkness.
One believer who knows who they are is a problem to hellâs plans.
The servant wakes up and sees an army â a trap.
It looks like defeat is inevitable.
It looks like thereâs no way out.
đ§ MODERN CONNECTION
đ§ MODERN CONNECTION
Some of you woke up this week like that servant.
You didnât see the sunrise â you saw stress.
You didnât feel peace â you felt panic.
You looked at your bank account, your marriage, your health, your future⊠and said:
âWhat do we do now?â
And if you stopped there, youâd believe the enemy had already won.
đ„ PART 2: OPEN HIS EYES
đ„ PART 2: OPEN HIS EYES
2 Kings 6:16â17 (NTV)
ââDonât be afraid!â Elisha told him. âFor there are more on our side than on theirs!â
Then Elisha prayed, âO Lord, open his eyes and let him see!â
The Lord opened the young manâs eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.â
I LOVE THIS PART.
Elisha didnât deny the reality.
Yes â there is an enemy.
Yes â they are surrounded.
But there is another reality the servant couldnât see.
So Elisha says, âOpen his eyes.â
And suddenly, the servant sees something he didnât know was there:
Heavenâs armies. Angelic protection. Godâs power on the scene.
This is not a motivational quote â this is truth:
âYou may be surrounded⊠but God has already surrounded whatâs surrounding you.â
đ MODERN CONNECTION
đ MODERN CONNECTION
This is how we fight our battles:
Not by pretending the enemy isnât realâŠ
But by believing that God is more real.
Not by denying the painâŠ
But by trusting in the power thatâs greater than the pain.
You might be surrounded by bills â but God has already lined up provision.
You might be surrounded by enemies â but God has placed angels around your life.
You might be surrounded by anxiety â but God is your peace in the storm.
You donât need new circumstances â you need new vision.
Lord, open our eyes.
đ„ PART 3: GOD FLIPS THE BATTLE
đ„ PART 3: GOD FLIPS THE BATTLE
2 Kings 6:18â23 (paraphrased)
Elisha prays again â this time, for the enemy to be struck with blindness.
And get this â he leads them into the hands of the Israelite army.
But instead of killing them, Elisha tells the king to feed them and send them home.
And the Bible says the Aramean raiders stopped attacking Israel.
God didnât just win the battle â He stopped the war.
Thatâs what it means when we say:
âWe were surrounded⊠But God turned it around.â
đ DEEP PERSONAL REFLECTION
đ DEEP PERSONAL REFLECTION
Sometimes we think God will only get us out by destroying our enemies.
But what if the real victory is not destruction⊠itâs transformation?
What if the real miracle is not just surviving â but ending a cycle?
Some of you donât just need relief â you need the pattern to stop.
The anxiety to stop.
The attacks to stop.
The confusion to stop.
And God says:
âIâm not just delivering you â Iâm closing the door on the enemyâs access.â
đ„ DECLARATIONS OF FAITH
đ„ DECLARATIONS OF FAITH
Let me speak this over your life:
âWhen we were surrounded⊠But God opened our eyes.â
âWhen we were outnumbered⊠But God showed us who was really in charge.â
âWhen we were afraid⊠But God reminded us: This is how we fight our battles.â
âWhen we couldnât see a way out⊠But God had already made a way in.â
đ ALTAR CALL
đ ALTAR CALL
Right now â I want to invite those who feel surrounded to come forward.
Youâre not here by accident.
Youâve been fighting in the dark.
Youâve been trying to stay strong.
Youâve been afraid to admit that youâre tired.
But God is ready to open your eyes.
Come forward and let Him shift your vision.
Let Him show you whatâs really happening.
Let Him surround your situation with His glory.
đ CLOSING PRAYER
đ CLOSING PRAYER
Father, thank You for the truth of Your Word.
Thank You that even when we feel surrounded, Youâre surrounding what surrounds us.
Open our eyes.
Let us see You.
Let us hear You.
Let us trust You.
We declare: this battle is not ours â it belongs to the Lord.
This is how we fight â by faith, by praise, by surrender.
In Jesusâ name,
Amen.
